IMO: people are stupid enough to buy into it, so of course Vista will succeed. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My signature is my best friend. It is my life. Yeh, but where XP got decent reviews when it came out, you'll struggle to find any for Vista. Linux is popping up all over, and MS are trying to get more involved with the open source communities.

He reads Slashdot comments. His posts all reek of it. There will be a partial backport of D3D10 on XP [code? Case in point: my laptop which runs Vista flawlessly but had all sort of issues with Ubuntu. I haven't encountered any drivers that didn't work well on Vista either 4 machines.
The only drivers problems I had were dumb installers refusing to fire. Is it worth it? It is for me, I cringe when I have to go back to XP. I say give it a try and make your own call.
Will D3D10 usage be slowed since they loose the XP market? Maybe, doubt it.
